He was predeceased by: his parents, Orva Smith and Betty Smith (Dennany); and his brother Garry Smith. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Smith, Jr., Kimberly Mack, Kathy Jo Negley and Sara Smith; and his siblings, Michael Smith (Anna), Daniel Smith, Sharon Ford and Patty Wheeler (Tim). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Battle Creek V.A. Medical Center Activity Fund.
