He was predeceased by: his parents, Enrico Amat and Irene Amat (Stellon); his wife Nita; his grandson John; and his siblings, Angelo Amat, Bruno Amat and Edda Mazzoli.

He is survived by: his children, Romeo, Ron Amat (Nanci), Ed Amat (Lori) and Len Amat (Mary); his grandchildren, Brandon, Brianna, Joseph, Claire (Evan), James, Daniel, Christina, Abigail, Peter, Benjamin and Sarah; and his great grandchild Simon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
