In accordance with his wish cremation will take place and private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association-Michigan Chapter or Centrica Care Navigators Hospice, c/o the funeral home.
Age 64, passed away at his home on February 24, 2024, with his loving wife at his side. Rod was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on May 30, 1959, the son of the late Richard and Rosemary (Kilgore) Bailey. He graduated from Vicksburg High School and remained a proud resident of the Southwest Michigan area. Rod had a wonderful smile, kind and generous personality and was a joy to know. He was selfless with his gifts and time and was always available to help those in need. He was handy and could fix nearly anything. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, boating, camping and hiking. He loved his loyal companion "Lilly" who he took on many walks. He also enjoyed sports and spent many weekends cheering on the Detroit Lions and Wolverines. Above all Rod loved his family and his friends. On April 20, 2013, he was united in marriage to Lisa K. (Williams) Bailey who survives. He is also survived by five siblings, Rick (Cheryl) Bailey, Ron (Deb) Bailey, Robert (Karen) Bailey, Randy (Trish) Bailey, Rebecca (Warren) Draper; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
