He was predeceased by: his brother James; and his parents, Wilbur (Glenn) and Louise. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his stepchild Elspeth; his children, Stephen, Timothy, Thomas, Tamara, Ted, Mark and Jennifer; and his sister Marilyn. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
