He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul A. Humiston and Nettie M. Humiston. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Humiston; his daughters, Anna Adams, Gillian (Kjerstine) and Laurel (Graham); his grandchildren, Mira and Fiona; his former wife Dorothy Ruth; his children, Paul, Sarah, Andrew (Denise) and Daniel; his granddaughter Valerie; his great grandchild Alec; and his brother Sonny (Gretchen).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and Western Michigan's School of Music.
