He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Christophel and Ruth Christophel (Kauffman); his brother Sanford; and his sisters-in-law, Esther and Virginia.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Hunsberger; his children, Charlotte Hawkins (Matthew) of Kalamazoo, MI, Steven Christophel (Faith) of Michigan, Ruth Christophel of Battle Creek, MI, Stanley Christophel (Lydia) of East Leroy, MI and Carl Christophel (Rachael) of Chillicothe, IL; his brothers, Eldon Christophel of Battle Creek, MI, David Christophel (Carol) of Zeeland, MI, H. Levon Christophel of Sarasota, FL, Joseph Christophel (Linda) of Goshen, IN and Paul Christophel (Brenda) of Hesston, KS; and his sister-in-law Miriam Christophel of Goshen, IN.. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wattles Park Faith Fellowship (Formerly Pine Grove Mennonite Church) (1195 N Wattles Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49014).
