It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rena DeVries of Kalamazoo, Michigan, born in Decatur, Michigan, who passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin E. DeVries; her parents-in-law, John and Winnie DeVries (Morren); her son-in-law Mark Romanak; and her sisters, Elsie Hoekstra, Elizabeth Klaassen and Tena Corning.
She is survived by: her children, David of Kalamazoo, MI, Carol Braat (William) of Kalamazoo, MI, James DeVries (Lisa) of Hastings, MI, Jerry DeVries (Kimberly) of Lakeland, FL, Steven DeVries (Terri) of Kalamazoo, MI and Mary Romanak of Portage, MI. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
