In accordance with her wish cremation will take place and private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be given to the family (checks payable to Vern Johnson) c/o the funeral home.

Age 67, passed away at her home on Monday, October 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in South Bend, IN, on August 2, 1956, the daughter of the late Wayne and Norma Jean (Montague) Baney. Rebecca was kind, gentle and loving. Her heart and home were always open to those in need! She worked hard to provide for those she loved but also took the time to enjoy small moments in life. She liked to travel, taking weekend trips with the family. Enjoyed spending time in her garden or taking walks through nature. She was passionate about animals and loved her dogs, birds and rabbits. Above all Rebecca loved her family and she was especially proud of her children and grandchildren. Her warm smile and laughter will be missed by all who know her. On December 1, 1973, she married the love of her life, Vern Johnson who survives. She is also survived by four children, Timothy (Mandy) Johnson, Jennifer (Joe Jarrett) Scott, Sara (Nicholas Collins) Johnson, Patricia (Rusty) Noyes; grandchildren, Hailey, Ethan and Nora Johnson, David Scott Jr., Jordan Marie Cottrell, Rebecca Bakhuyzen, Annabell Noyes; niece, Sylvia Minder; many extended family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by two sisters, Judy and Vickie.
