He was predeceased by: his parents, Hattie Crumell and Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee Barnes; his sons, Quincy Franklin Jr. and Steven Gregory Franklin (Sharon) of Kalamazoo, MI.; his siblings, Mary Ann Crumell (Smith), Helen Crumell and Frank Crumell Sr.; his children, Sylvia Hamilton (Luther), Anthony Curtis Franklin of Kalamazoo, MI. and Gary Thomas Franklin of Kalamazoo, MI.; and his grandchildren, Quinton Nowling and Angela Nowling. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, students, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harper Funeral Home - Chapel (521 Douglas Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49006). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
