We are sad to announce that on August 3, 2019, at the age of 90, Queen Esther Fountain (Kalamazoo, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hardy Hobbs and Lillie King Hobbs; her husband Hurvey James Fountain Sr.; her sons, Hurvey James Fountain Jr. and Steven Louis Fountain; and her siblings, Avie Hobbs, Daisy Mitchell, Louise Scott, Ella Mae Miller, Lou Della Hobbs, Hardy Hobbs, Louis Hobbs, Oscar Hobbs, Bud Hobbs, Sidney Hobbs and Emma Ruth McCoy.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Smith of Chicago, IL, Gregory Fountain Sr. of Kalamazoo and Gary Fountain of Kalamazoo; and her grandchildren, Hurvey III, Antoinette, Gregory Jr., Ryan (Genesis) and Marissa. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandson; one sister.
