Phyllis L. Bertch Obituary

A graveside service will be held at Grand Prairie Cemetery on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be given to Centrica Care Navigators Hospice, c/o the funeral.

Phyllis Louise Bertch peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at the age of 97. Born in Vicksburg, MI in 1927 to Carleton D. and Marjorie Culp Porter, Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Barbara Bowers, in 2008. She was united in marriage to Donald E. Bertch in 1947, to whom she enjoyed a loving 62 years until his death in 2010. Phyllis valued the arts and enjoyed reading, journaling, needlework and gardening. She especially cherished time with her family and is survived by her son Jeffrey (Bev) Bertch, three grandchildren Scott Bertch of Kalamazoo, Carrie Bertch of Chesterton, IN and Laurie (Alan) Woodstra of Jenison and four precious great grandchildren, Collin and Emelia Bertch of Kalamazoo and Ava and Carly Woodstra of Jenison.
