We are sad to announce that on December 28, 2022, at the age of 87, Phyllis I. Baas (Kalamazoo, Michigan), born in Muskegon, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Fricke and Irene Fricke; and her husband Gerald Baas. She is survived by: her children, Randall Baas (Carol), Beth Rodee (John) and Dan Baas (Lori); and her siblings, Bruce Fricke (Tammy) and Helen Rozneck. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, in memory of Phyllis.

“Phyllis' Family, I am so saddened to learn of Phyllis' passing. I know she was not the Phyllis we all knew and loved for so many years. But it is still hard to think of her being gone. I liked the Obituary where it said "she was the life of the party.... and her humor was enjoyed by all who knew her". So very true. She and I enjoyed many many games of Bridge - a fierce competitor but always a good joke to finish the game. God Bless You All and may she now rest in peace. Jane Cornette-Smeed”
