Phillip D. Dalrymple Obituary

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Phillip will be laid at to rest at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project for the assistance of other servicemen, in c/o the funeral home.

Age 82, passed away Tuesday night, August 1, 2023. Phillip was born in Allegan, MI, on June 15, 1941, the son of Henry and Donavieve (Adams) Dalrymple. Phillip proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and did two tours of duty in Viet Nam. On September 15, 1978, he married Carol Leigh Petry who preceded him in death in 2022. He worked for many years in the metal fabrication industry. Phillip was a devoted husband and father. Phillip is survived by his daughter, Jaime Dalrymple of Kalamazoo; his son, Shawn (Kyra) Dalrymple of Mattawan; grandson, Zachary; sister, Frances Wilson; half-brother, Dean Dalrymple; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ernie Dalrymple, Robert Dalrymple and half-brother, Clarence Dalrymple.
