With solemn reverence, we commemorate Penny Butler (Kalamazoo, Michigan), whose life came to an end on January 28, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kummer and Muriel Kummer (Lukkasson). She is survived by: her husband Charles; her children, Charles Butler (Megan), Erin Thomas (Dave) and Brendan Butler (Caitlin); and her grandchildren, Mary Grace, Samantha, David, Hunter, Connor, James and Bridget.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Est Live Stream St. Thomas More Parish (421 Monroe St, Kalamazoo, MI 49006). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Est Portage South Cemetery (10401 S Westnedge Ave, Portage, MI 49002). Up until the pandemic, she dedicated one day each week to each of her then four grandchildren, playing with them, taking them to lessons and extracurricular activities, and simply being present in their lives.
