He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonides Rangel-Mendoza and Jertrudes Anastacio Santiago. He is survived by: his wife Margarita Salazar; and his children, Leo Rangel (Jessica), Pedro "Peter" Rangel, Jr., Joshua Rangel (Kristen), Rebekah Bailey, Ruben Rangel (Hope), Daniel Rangel, Ruth Rangel and Benjamin Rangel.
