In accordance with her wish cremation will take place and private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous, c/o the funeral home.

Age 68, of Kalamazoo, passed away at Bronson Hospital on April 8, 2025. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on November 2, 1956, the daughter of the late Jimmy and Shirley (Dobbins) Bailey. Pauline was kind, loving and generous. She had a big heart, and she was a joy to know. Pauline Moved to Southwest Michigan and began a family. Raising her ten children was the focus of her life and she worked hard to provide for their happiness. Later in life she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and leaves them with many wonderful memories. When not working as a tax pro at HR Block, she enjoyed knitting and was an avid BINGO player who was known to play several cards at a time. Her home was the gathering place for holidays and special events and the door was always open to those in need. Though she had many children of her own, throughout the years she also became a "mother" to many. Above all Pauline loved her family and friends; her smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by nine children, Damon (Donna) Hayes, Nathen (Esther) Hayes, Ty (Krystal) Hayes, Derek Hayes, Danny (Kevin) Jameson, Tony Butler, Jamie (Joseph) Gibson, Brandy Buchner, Chauntae Ridley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; "adopted son", Frederick Thurmond; siblings, Sarah, Marty and John; extended family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by a daughter, Dana Butler and sister, Shirley and Loretta.
