Paul L. Maier Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Paul L. Maier in Kalamazoo, Michigan, whose life came to an end on February 27, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter A. Maier and Hulda. He is survived by: his brother Walter II; his daughters, Laura Alexander (Brett), Julie Maier, Krista Klepchak (Zach) and Katie Maier-Toepper (Brad Toepper); his grandchildren, Christine, Nicole, Anna, Drew Alexander, Rachel, Mark Lugauer, Ben, Adam, Luke Klepchak and William Toepper; his pet Apollo William; his sister-in-law Leah Maier; and his nephews, Rev. Walter A Maier II and Rev. David.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (2122 Bronson Blvd, Kalamazoo, MI 49008). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the West Oshtemo Cemetery (747 S 1st St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009).
Preferred memorials may be made to: Dr. Paul Maier Endowment for Ancient History—Western Michigan University Foundation, Camp Arcadia, and Zion Lutheran Church.
