Paul E. Drummond Obituary
Age 94, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Paul lived a long, active life that in his younger years revolved around his tile work career at Central Tile, his family and sports. He was an outstanding bowler. While serving in the Army he was the #1 man on their bowling league in Seattle, WA. That is how he met his wife, Joan. They had a long, happy marriage and bowled for many years on a couples bowling league, where they met many lifelong friends. While bowling was a good fall/winter sport, Paul needed more activity between his two sons' sports, so he took up golf. He first played at Grand Prairie Golf Course for a few years learning the sport and enjoyed in league play there. He once played seven times in one day with a friend for a few quarters to the winner! Golf became his favorite lifetime sport that kept him active his entire life. He just stopped playing at the age of 93, but even then he always had a "new swing" to share with his son, Steve for comments. He was a course legend at his home course, Crestview Golf Course, where he brought home many trophies, which he proudly displayed. He loved the Cleveland Browns football team and loved to watch golf on TV. Paul is survived by two sons, David Drummond and Stephen (Julie) Drummond; grandchildren, Scott (Dody) Drummond and Kelly (Chris) Skory; great-grandchild, Abigale a sister-in-law, Janet Cole; a brother, Roger Drummond; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
