He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Tarkkanen and Mildred Tarkkanen (Morris); and his siblings, James Tarkkanen, Linda Conrad and Debra Tarkkanen.

He is survived by: his daughter Chloe Tarkkanen; and his sister Patricia Curry (Jeff). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
