He is survived by: his mother Ernestine Rugg (Dollahite) of Portage; his brothers, Stephen Rugg (Delphine) of Sterling Heights and Gary Rugg (Debbie) of Kalamazoo; and his nieces and nephews, John Rugg (Jerri), Brodie Rugg (Mary), Amy Rugg, Gillian Edwards (Tom), Emily Blank (Alex), Corryn LaFountain (Jereme) and Darlene Michaels (Joe).
