She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Miles McKinney and Genevieve McKinney (Triechman); her husband Leonard "Bud" Hiatt; her sister Linda McKinney; her children, Steve Hiatt and Betsy Beatty (Steve); her brother Jim Carbone; her grandchildren, Eric, Sarah Beatty and Zane Hiatt; and her daughter-in-law Michelle Hiatt.
