A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Best Friends Inn, in c/o the funeral home.
Age 71 of Kalamazoo passed away on Saturday night, December 7, 2024. Pam was born in Flint, MI on October 6, 1953, the daughter of Don and Marjorie Leach. Pam had lived in New York, Louisiana and Florida before returning to West Michigan to raise her family. Pam served for more than 25 years as an Administrative Assistant to the Commanders of the 6th District of the Michigan State Police. Her organizational skills and attention to detail highlighted her professional career. Her smile and helpfulness made a difference for the troops. She enjoyed dancing and she easily found friends at the local senior centers where she learned line dancing. Pam's life focused on family and her warmth and smile will be missed by all. Pam is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Nate) Vlietstra, and Elizabeth (James) Bayne; grandsons, Henry and Wesley Vlietstra; sister, Mackenzie Bennetts; nieces, Logan (Brian) Nolan and Rosalyn (James) Silvester and their families; and countless friends including her special four-legged friend, Jack. Pam was preceded in death by her parents.
