Ojars Tolis Obituary

A private committal service with full military honors will take place at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Memorial contributions in his memory may be given to the family, c/o Sharon Tolis.

TOLIS, Ojars Gunars Galesburg Age 80, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. Ojars was born in Riga, Latvia on April 9, 1943, the son of the late Karlis and Agita (Krimuldens) Tolis. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. Ojars worked for many years in the printing industry. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved to fish and enjoyed muscle cars. On January 15, 1966, he married the former Sharon K. Cochran, who survives. Ojars is also survived by his only daughter, Annette Tolis; grandson, Camaron Barthel and sister, Dinora (David) Kuzee. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ziedonis "Zig" and Martins Tolis.
