It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nellie Kroeze of Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Boogerman and Cornelia Boogerman (Dubbeld); her siblings, Isaac J. Boogerman, Leona Landt and Celia Ewing; and her mothers-in-law, Henrietta Sportel (Hank) and Annetta Sportel (Bob).
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheri L. Wolthuis (Dick) of Kalamazoo and Jan K. DeVries (Dave) of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Stephen Wolthuis, Randy DeVries (Sarah), Michelle DeVries, Ryan DeVries (Meghan), Kelli Young (Tyler) and Melissa DeVries; and her great grandchildren, Lucas DeVries, Henry DeVries, Penelope Young, Stephen Wolthuis, Jr., Benjamin DeVries, Charlotte DeVries, Eloise Young, Jacob DeVries and Kate DeVries. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
COVID-19 restrictions are in place, masks and social distancing will be required.
Nell's family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be directed to Kalamazoo Christian School Association, Centerpoint Church - Senior Adult Ministries, or American Cancer Society Discovery Shop Kalamazoo.
