Nancy Kay Betke Obituary

A memorial visitation to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 5, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society, c/o the funeral home.

Age 65, passed away on April 2, 2024, at the Laurels of Galesburg surrounded by loving care. She was born in Kalamazoo on December 12, 1958, the daughter of the late Richard and Ruth (McQueen) Kirk. Nancy would make Kalamazoo her lifetime home where she raised her children and worked hard as a project manager in finance. She was a firm but loving mother and grandmother whose outer shell protected a loving heart. Nancy enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and playing bingo and she volunteered at the VFW. She loved animals and was close to her loyal grand dog, "Zuma". Above all Nancy loved her family and she was especially proud of her daughters and granddaughter. She will be missed by all who were close to her. Nancy is survived by four daughters, Christina Beaupre, Lauren (Joshua) Haddock, Katie Beaupre, Danielle (Jermaine) Johnson; granddaughter, Carlin Haddock; two siblings, Jeff and Betty; many bonus daughters who thought of Nancy as a mother, several nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in passing by three siblings, Rick, Jackie and Barb.
