He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Vern Hettinger; his nephews, Jonathan Braman and Andrew Babcock; his wife Karen Tanner of Trenton, MI.; his children, Michael Alan Hettinger, Emma Christine Hettinger and Benjamin Franklin Hettinger; his former wife Karen Hettinger; his mother Lois Christine Hamilton Hettinger; and his siblings, Debra Thompson (James), Kerry Hettinger (Celeste), Edwin Hettinger (Colleen) and Pamela Babcock (Raymond). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
