He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Sr. Woolley and Irene Woolley (Peters); his siblings, Wayne, Leroy and Mary Alice; his son-in-law Jim Vander Roest; and his grandson David Woolley.
He is survived by: his wife Ardith (Verhulst); his children, Brenda Vander Roest (Jim), Wendy Van Elk (John), Mark Woolley (Gale) and Mary Rykse (Nathan); his brother Robert Woolley (Pat); his grandchildren, Matthew Vander Roest (Heather), Nathan Vander Roest, Kevin Vander Roest (Julia), Benjamin Van Elk, Sarah Aluise (Jonathan), Suzanne Simms (Ryan), Daniel Van Elk (Lindsay), Jonathan Rykse (Carly), Elizabeth Vanden Berg (Mike), Jacob Rykse (Anna), Jason Woolley, Joshua Rykse (Jaila), Maria Kalkman (Jordan) and Joel Woolley; and his close friend Bonnie De Haan. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
