With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattie Lou Liggins (Kalamazoo, Michigan), born in Batesville, Mississippi, who passed away on November 14, 2021 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mattie Lou Liggins to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Johnson and Freddie Ruth Johnson (Barber); her husband Robert L. Liggins; her daughter Robin Liggins; and her sister Barbara Whitmore.
She is survived by: her children, Marvin Liggins (Jean) and Rochelle Johnson; her siblings, Susie Whitmore, Lynder McNeal, Dorothy Johnson, Bevelyn Johnson, Janet Petties (Gibson), Carl Johnson (Helen) and James Johnson; and her siblings-in-law, Tina Dixon (Eddie Steve) and Eddie Clardy.
Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be held via video conferencing (Zoom) on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2 PM, with Mr. Andrew Odebrecht officiating.
