It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Fischer of Kalamazoo, Michigan, born in Holland, Michigan, who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andries R. Steketee and Emma Jane Steketee (Ross); and her brother Andries D. Steketee. She is survived by: her husband David W. Fischer; her children, Joan M. Fischer and Mark W. F. Fischer (Annemarie); and her grandson Adam.
They both sang in their church choirs for almost fifty years and enjoyed attending choral workshops for some twenty years until the Covid pandemic made that impossible.
