She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Forrest Frederick and Gladys Frederick (Yeagley); her husband Garrett R. Dykehouse of Kalamazoo; her children, Gail Drayton, Jill, Rod and Bruce Dykehouse (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Matt Richmond (Kelly) and Jennifer Merriman (Andy); her great grandchildren, Lauren, Marley, Sidney Richmond and Stella Merriman; and her siblings, Dean, Mardelle Pozeznik and JoAnne Guarisco. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary's name may be made to Bickford of Portage Senior Living and Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
