He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Block and Mary Block (Haggerty); his brothers, Charles Block (Loie) and Harold Block (Pat); his sisters-in-law, Connie Block and Alareka Block; and his sisters, Kathy Hanlon (Mort) and Pearl Brouwer (Jim).

He is survived by: his wife Carol Knapper; his children, Steve Block (Mary Beth) and Lynn Rocca; his grandchildren, Sidney Block, Dante Rocca and Berkley Rocca; and his siblings, Roger Block, Wayne Block, Mike Block (Jan), Patrick Block, Kelly Hernandez, Ginger Miller (Steve) and Yvonne Stein.
