He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Mason and Millie Egelston (Palmer); his wife Kathleen A. Pierson; and his daughter Becky Egelston. He is survived by: his children, Mark Egelston (Amy) of Miamisburg, OH, Marcella Garrett (Bruce) of Deerfield, IL, Seth Egelston (Nancy) of Battle Creek, MI and Phillip Egelston (Deanna) of Rockville, MD; and his sister Carolyn Sims. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Evanston Public Library, in c/o the funeral home.
