Age 61, passed away on Monday morning, March 11, 2024. Marilyn was born in Calais, ME, the daughter of Clifford Arnold and Florence Gertrude (McArthur) Shain. On June 7, 1986, she married Joseph Goodacre II who survives her. She and Joe enjoyed going to Sanibel Island every year. She was a beach person and liked working on her tan. She was an avid puzzler. Marilyn had a true talent for being thrifty and liked thrift store shopping with her daughter. For more than fifteen years she was a receptionist at Constance Brown Hearing Center. Nothing was more important to her than being with her family and doting on her grandchildren. Besides her husband, Marilyn is survived by her children, Amy Jo (Mitchel) Edwards and Joseph Gerald (Zoe) Goodacre III; grandchildren, Jaxson. Rylon and Weslin; step-siblings, Arthur Harmon, Kathryn (Larry) Burdick, Ron (Judy) Harmon, Jean (David) Drayton, Joyce (Mike) Scott; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Goodacre; sisters in law, Sandi Casey and Sandy Allen; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
