It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marilyn Broekema (Kalamazoo, Michigan), who passed away at the age of 83, on January 6, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adrian Beekman (Dale) and Elizabeth Beekman (Betty); and her sister Joan VanTil (Wayne). She is survived by: her husband David Lee Broekema; her children, David (Alyssa), Steve (Rhonda), Julie Evenhouse (John), Tom (Rita) and Tim (Susan); her grandchildren, Kelli Collins (Brendan), Marlee Broekema, Taylor Douglas (Alan), Daly Broekema, Holli Smith (Ryan), Meagan Visser (Graham), Katie Tolksdorf (Alex), Krista Irvine (Billy), Kelsey Broekema, Kasey Broekema and Gabi Broekema; her great grandchildren, Natalie, Tyler, Eleanor, Mary, Thomas, Ella, Henry and Payton; and her sister Kathy Wykstra (Harold). She is also survived by several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid concerns there will be no services at this time, a memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, or Twelve Baskets Food pantry in Portage Michigan.
