She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Groen and Wilma Groen (Kindle); her spouse Thomas Steele; and her siblings, Charles, Mary Lou, Darlene, Elaine and Gary.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Schaafsma (Michael) of Martin, Kelly Rohaeek (James), Melissa Steele of Plainwell and Virginia Smith (Greg); and her sisters, Beverly Tague and Diane Yeaman. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
