Marcia Jean Werkema Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marcia Jean Werkema of Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on May 13, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marcia Jean leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her brother Roger Van Den (Bonnie). She is survived by: her husband Douglas Werkema; her children, Cynthia Jean Bond (Andre), Cathleen Sue Zylman (Ted), Julie Ann Garrison (Steven) and Douglas Dale Werkema Jr. (Stephanie); and her brothers, James Van Den (Rena) and Robert Van Den (Dolores 'Do'). She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
