It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lupe Orta of Kalamazoo, Michigan, born in San Benito, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hermenejildo Zuñiga and Perfecta Zuñiga (Garcia); her husband Manuel Orta Reyna; her grandson Joel Orta, Jr.; and her son-in-law Michael Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Juan Orta (Gail), Jose Orta, Joel Orta (Helen), Jesus Orta, Julian Orta (Jona), Julie Johnson and Juanita Snell (Lewis); and her sisters, Yolanda Lopez (Valentine) and Eloisa Haney.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to the family.
