He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil, Sr. Crandall and Lucille Crandall (Dykstra); his stepson Raymond Crandall (Sarah); and his brother Virgil Crandall Jr. (Debra). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Dykstra; his stepchildren, Brenda Holling (Jeff) and Eugene "Gene" Crandall; his grandchildren, Emily, Andrew Holling and Graceanne Crandall; and his brother Ronald Crandall (Karon).

A private family service and interment will be by invitation only, due to the covid restrictions.

Memorial contributions can be made to Kalamazoo Christian Schools.
