He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Schmaltz and Rose Schmaltz (Wolkowski); and his siblings, Harold, Henry, Charles, Norman and Irene.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his brother S. Armed; his children, Sandra Schmaltz (Daniel Boxwell) of Benzonia, MI., Lloyd Schmaltz (Jane) of Three Rivers, MI. and Linda Walters (Brian) of Amherst, NH; his grandchildren, Alexander, Matthew, Kari and Laura; and his great grandchildren, Phoenix, Brayden, Kaydence, Jackson and Abigail.
