Leonard Ekema Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard Ekema of Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on January 28, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ekema and Jennie Ekema (Klok); his wife Katherine J. Ekema (Hiemstra); and his sisters, Irene Fraaza and Geraldine Westrate.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Carrie, T. J., Joel, Eric, Jessica, Matt, Tim and Jennie; his great grandchildren, Brynn, Cade, Castyn, Cole, Nolan, Brody, Hadley, Maci, Quinn, Mark, Eve, Adalyn, Olive, Paisley, Liam, Meredith, Simon, Shirley, Tristan and Quentin; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew and Rebekah; and his sisters, Norma LaRoy, Carol Kiel (Art) and Dorothy Bergman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Bud's memory may be directed to Park Village Pines or Reformed Heritage Christian School.
