He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Gerlach and Margaret Gerlach (Hofbauer); his former wife Ann Claire White; and his brother Robert Gerlach. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Marie Gerlach, Robert Gerlach, Charles Gerlach (Cindy), Peggy Gornick (Greg) and Cathy Hazen; and his stepchildren, Wendie Williams (Alan) and Scott Sabin (Stephanie). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
