Larry W. Lager Obituary

Age 78, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023. Larry was born in Muskegon on September 10, 1945, the son of Walter and Doris (Klug) Lager. On August 19, 1967, he married Sandra Grams who survives him. Larry taught machine shop and tech-ed for the Gull Lake Public School system for many years. He also taught at Western Michigan University in the mechanical engineering lab. Larry lived out a dream by living on Sherman Lake. In their retirement, he and Sandy loved travelling and camping together all over the United States and Canada. They had spent several winters in the Florida Keys. Larry was an avid reader and loved reading novels. In most recent years, he liked cooking and wasn't afraid to experiment with recipes. He also liked experimenting with container gardening. Nothing was more important to him than his family and he was dedicated to taking care of Sandy. Besides his wife, Larry is survived by his sons, Matt (Gail) Lager and Daniel Lager; grandchildren, Magdalena, Xavier, Isabella; siblings, Thom (Susan) Lager, David (Mary) Lager, Mike (Kathy) Lager; several nieces and nephews and countless friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
