He was predeceased by: his parents, Claire Patnode and Thelma Patnode (Rustenholtz); and his siblings, Lee Patnode (Katherine) and Lillian Hopper (Jim). He is survived by: his sister Barbara Larson (Helmer); his close friend Michael Glanis; his nieces and nephews, Cindy Moon (Robert), Debra Beebe (Tim), Diane Patnode-Fletcher (Ken), Chris Mahieu (Gary), Pam Hoye (Scott), David Patnode and Daniel Patnode; his friend Dianne Tahtinen; and his pet Ghillie.
