He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeYoung and Mildred DeYoung (Peterson); and his siblings, Jon, Richard DeYoung and Janice DeYoung.

He is survived by: his children, Christine Crawford (Justin), Philip DeYoung (Lisa) and Joseph DeYoung (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Jessica, Breanna, Noah Crawford of Philip, Carson, Emma, Joseph, Eli, Ava, Sawyer and Levi DeYoung; his great grandchildren, Elayena and Elijah Ellis; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen and Paulette DeYoung. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
