He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harm Rysenga and Helene Rysenga (Steketee); his wife Mary Carpenter; his children, Christopher Rysenga (Sharon), Elaine Kauffman and Julie Hoffman (Mike); the mother of his children Jeanne Scofield; his stepdaughter Deedee Mortimer; and his siblings, Margaret Carlson, Charles Rysenga, Paul Rysenga (Judy), Elizabeth Flickinger (Ken), Susan Elaine Rysenga and Tom Rysenga.
