She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bill Walters and Irene Walters (Mohler); her children, Jennifer Chambers (Marcus) and Andrew Cook (Mimi); her grandchildren, Maya Chambers, Gryphon Chambers and Gabriela Cook; her siblings, Janeen Emrick (Jerry) and Bill Walters; her nieces and nephews, Signe, Paul and Kelly; her sister Sheila Pihlstrand; and her niece Kirstin. She was also cherished by children and being a mom and grandma.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be directed to the Organization for Autism Research.
