She was predeceased by: her stepfather George Helton; and her nephew Nathan Tafelsky. She is survived by: her friend Judy; her husband Chris Emery; her children, Ryan Emery (Kellie), Samantha Ostas (Daniel Jr.), Jacqueline Emery and Madeline Emery; her siblings, Michael LeMay, Kathleen Horka (Kenneth), Mary Jo Tafelsky (Robert) and Linda Kelly (Thomas); and her nieces and nephews, Zachary Tafelsky, Matthew Horka, Jillian Horka, Henry Kelly, Katherine Kelly, Elizabeth Kelly and Rachel LeMay.

Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities – Diocese of Kalamazoo or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
