With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John P. King of Kalamazoo, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John King and Alta King (Coyne); and his parents-in-law, Ruth Ruth (Goodrich) and Gordon Ruth. He is survived by: his wife Carol Cooley; his daughter Harper Mitri (King); his son-in-law Philip Mitri; his grandsons, Edward and Patrick Mitri; his sisters, Patricia Hartman (Art) and Mary King; and his niece Joanna Olbrys (Hartman).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John's name to Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, Parchment Library, or any other recipient of your choosing.
