It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joanne Assenmacher (Kalamazoo, Michigan), who passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Lange (Art Regnier) and Stephen Lange; her husband Leo Assenmacher; and her sons, Mark Assenmacher, Dennis Assenmacher and Gregory Assenmacher.
She is survived by: her siblings, Judi, Gary, Edward and Janice; her children, Joanne, Leo, Karen Assenmacher, Lee Assenmacher (Sara), Paul Assenmacher (Maggie) and John Assenmacher (Carrie); her grandchildren, Eric, Kaitlin, Mark (Heidi), Kelly (Jason Anderson), Haley (Max White), Madison, Jason (Emily), Candace (Taylor Sandusky), Lindsay, Morgan (Tommy Gordon), Clayton, Colin and Garet; and her great grandchildren, Emma, Sara, Bennett, Joelle, Fisher, Greg, Leo, Walker, Lia and Harrison. She is also survived by her 7 children, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Est Betzler Life Story Funeral Homes (6080 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Est St. Catherine of Siena Parish (1150 W Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49024).
Memorial donations may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph.
