She was predeceased by: her sister Susan Buczkowski. She is survived by: her husband J. P. Oosterbaan; her daughter Lizzie Hall (Adam); her granddaughter Emma; her sons, Paul Oosterbaan and Teddy Oosterbaan (Shannon); her parents, Mary Buczkowski and Ed Buczkowski; her siblings, John Buczkowski and Kathy Scherer (Tom); her nephew Tommy; and her niece Maggie Scherer.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Est Betzler Life Story Funeral Homes (6080 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). A Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Est St. Augustine Cathedral (542 W Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49007).
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Catholic Schools of Greater Kalamazoo or Meals on Wheels America, in memory of Joan Oosterbaan.
